From the end of World War II and into the mid-1960s, American Mid-Century design is characterized by the use of new materials, like plastic, and of organic shapes. Designers include Charles and Ray Eams, Edward Wormley, R. Buckminster Fuller, and Greta Magnusson Grossman.
